Barry has significant experience in healthcare at two of the best healthcare institutions in the world.  For the last 5 years Barry led Learning and Organization Development and was interim leader of HR at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. He led cultural change efforts that required the redesign of all clinical/medical units and produced great collaboration between physicians, nurses, allied health and administrative professionals that drove employee engagement, continuous improvement and the achievement of great clinical outcomes and patient/family experiences.  In his operational roles, Barry and his teams led the engagement strategy; built talent management systems and programs; developed medical, clinical and talent learning strategies; advanced the use of technology in education through clinical simulation, virtual reality and disease focused learning networks; and expanded primary and secondary school services to chronically ill patients throughout the medical center.

Barry also had leadership roles for 2 fortune 100 companies; Chiquita Brands International and Anheuser Busch.  Barry’s career advancement to Executive VP of HR was the result of his success at being a confidential advisor and coach to dozens of executives (including 5 CEO’s) and his partnership with them to build and improve their operations and leadership impact. He successfully led cost, quality, productivity, and business culture initiatives in multiple manufacturing and agricultural production facilities in 12 countries. He redesigned organizations for high performance; designed and implemented succession planning processes and competency based development systems and practices; built an international HR business partner organization; led total quality and continuous improvement initiatives; advanced labor-management relations; co-led the design, construction and startup of manufacturing facilities; increased diversity and inclusion; and provided critical leadership in an international IPO and corporate financial restructuring.

As a consultant and leader Barry has successfully met the needs of executives and organizations in multiple industries: healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, government, social services, education and communities.  Those he has served recognize him for being open, honest and trustworthy; for having strong analytical skills and the ability to think and act strategically; for being intuitive and capable of assessing leadership talent; for having the ability to redesign organizations and facilitate the management of change; and for his coaching and predisposition to always leave them with new ideas and opportunities. His experiences have positioned him to be the founder and President of the Barry Morris Consulting Group (BMCG), a firm focused on leadership, team and organization development, strategic planning, and developing high performance cultures and structures.
